PHIL 235

Biomedical Ethics (3 credits)

This is a popular elective course. Many students add this to their course load in order to remain as a full-time student.

From what I have heard, it is [relatively] not a demanding course. At the same time, the material and subject matter is very interesting.

“This course examines some of the central problems in biomedical ethics. Using the method of critical confrontations, students will acquire a genuine understanding of the issues rather than just a passive awareness of them. The main goal is to foster independent, responsible and informed critical thinking.”

If a career in the healthcare system is on your radar, this course will not only look good on your record, but it will also make you a more insightful practitioner.

This is an online course, run via the econcordia site.

Although everything else is done online, the final exam is in-person, and closed book.
