Adiós Marie

If you have been to the psychology department office recently in the PY building, you may have noticed the absence of a familiar face.

“Where is Marie?!” – said every psyc student at the beginning of the semester

Our beloved Undergraduate Program Assistant, Marie Sanjur, has moved on to another position in the John Molson School of Business.

(can’t compete with JMSB…)

In an e-mail sent out to all psychology students, Marie writes:

“For the past year and a half I have been the Undergraduate Program Assistant of the Psychology Department.  During this time I had the privilege of meeting many of you in person or by e-mail.  I have assisted many of you with university and registration procedures.   We have shared much laughter and sometimes tears.  Thank you for having deposited your confidence in me.  Always remember that your academic education is the foundation of your professional life, but it is who you are -your individual personality and talents- that will make you succeed.  Remember you came into this world with special gifts.  Use them for the benefit of all the inhabitants of this little planet.  Be yourself, be happy!”

We are all sad to see Marie go.

I personally am very grateful for all the help Marie has provided during the past year and a half. Whether it was getting into a course which was already “full”, or needing advice on anything related to the program, Marie was always there for each and every student. I know that many students feel the same way. I wish Marie much success in her new position.

In the meantime, we have been privileged with Karen, whom has been an amazing interim program assistant. Thank you, Karen!
