Loyola Secrets

The Loyola Campus is enchanted with hidden gems and treasures. Many Concordia students have never been to Loyola, while some have never even heard of it!!

We are a lucky bunch to be studying at such a beautiful campus.

I figured I’d share a few things which I have discovered over the years:

  • The Hive Cafe offers a free vegetarian lunch every weekday at the Loyola campus between 12:30 and 1:30 PM.
  • Tim Hortons: located basement floor of SP complex
  • Buzz: all-you-can-eat for  $10
  • Secret Study Spot: [cannot disclose the location here since it will no longer be a secret]
  • Vanier Library: if downtown is too hectic for you, come join us at Vanier! We have 3 floors to choose from. There are computer labs, quiet study areas, talking-study areas, private study rooms, etc. The staff at Vanier are also super friendly!
  • G-Lounge, a fraternity-run coffee and snack bar. Very chilled study space. Tables, couches, microwaves, nice background music. Located on 4th floor of CC building
  • Atheltics Center: hockey arena, stadium, gymnasium, outdoor playing fields and Stinger Dome.
  • Chapel – a real enchanted spot on the Loyola campus.
  • CSU Loyola: yes, the CSU actually has an office at Loyola too, located on 4th floor of CC building, right near G-Lounge. The On Mondays, they have a free legal clinic. And on Wednesdays, there are drop-in hours for CSU Advocacy
  • Student Academic Services: a.k.a. the “Mini Birks” – if you are unsure about something in your program or want to meet an adviser, this is your place to come.
  • Mentors: basement floor of AD building – these people are here to help you. Door is always open. Stop on by.
  • The Montreal’s Sign Project: very few people have heard about this initiative. Go check it out (located in the CJ bulding)
  • Piano: In AD-121, you can pick up a key for the only designated piano module for non-music students.
  • Loyola Greenhouse
  • PERFORM Center

The Shuttle bus is constantly running throughout the day between both campuses – free for Concordia students & staff.

Here is a great 2 minute of a tour through the entire campus.

Some photos I captured at the beautiful Loyola campus
